Stock Manager ReviewTinyStocks "support" is the worst I have ever encountered - Version: 4.56, 1/8/2008 12:45PM PST

The customer "support" at TinyStocks is bad beyond description. After submitting a negative review of their unbelievable poor customer service, the developer disabled my registration codes for both StockManager and WeatherManager and refused to give me new registration codes! Here is the correspondence between us:
============================
Hi,

That's correct, your registration code is disabled for both the latest Weather Manager and Stock Manager. I don't remember the exact reason right now but usually it's because you got a refund.

Hello,

I need a new registration code for StockManager 4.57 for Palm OS
because my registration code which worked with version 4.56 (3F74FB) is
no longer valid. I am using the program on the same device (my
Tungsten T3) and my Hotsync Code is still
67:61:72:74:68:20:6D:69:63:68:61:65:6C:73:.

I still have StockManager version 4.56 (but not the Mac conduit for
version 4.56), and I have re-installed it because it will accept my
registration unlock code unlike version 4.57.

My most recent hotync log is below.

Thank you for your help!

This is amazing! The best suggestion I could offer anyone is to steer clear of this program and the lunatic who developed it.

as a 5-yr+ user of StockManager I'd like to recommend it, but a recent encounter with the developer "support" makes that very difficult. Right now the program is basically useless to me, and no fix in sight. Up to now I've gotten along pretty well in spite of the mediocre documentation and the website FAQs that rarely cover my problem. Like the recent change to the Yahoo servers that hosed the update process - you'd think that would be an FAQ, right? It wasn't so when I realized my updates were only partially correct and no FAQ seemed relevant I e-mailed support. To their credit the response was quick and brief - update to 4.56. But downloading and running the installer didn't solve the problem. Another e-mail to support with additional detail beyond the log (thought I'd try to help diagnose the problem) got a surprising response. "Anyway, I'm not replying to anymore emails. I've told you many times now that you need to have 4.it's now up to you if you want to follow those instructions or not."

Well, "many times" = 2. I replied that I did follow directions (skimpy as they were) but things still didn't work. I have not received a response, and TinyStocks is broken. Buyer beware.

Stock Manager ReviewBest tool to keep track of the sotck market - Version: 4.56, 9/19/2007 03:10AM PST

I've been using Stock Manager for more than a year now and I find it invaluable to keep track of how my stock portfolio is doing. Updates from the internet can be done both wireless or hotsync. With the latest version you can even import chart data via wireless which means I don't have to hotsync my Treo anymore to do this.

Regarding the previous review: I use the export feature every quarter for tax purposes and it works very well. Kind of a shame that you took out points because the developer didn't want to do custom development for you for $24.95.
