Product Description:

SimpleYahtzee is a Yahtzee game for your Mac. Basic idea of the game is that you have five six-sided dice to roll three times to achieve the best value possible on each turn. There are 13 different scoring boxes and the game does not end until all 13 are filled. Different boxes require different combinations of dice (see the section on Scoring the Game below) to get good scores. Each turn consists of 3 rolls of the dice. At the start of each turn, the user rolls all the dice. Prior to each subsequent roll the player may choose to hold or release any combination of dice. After the third roll, the player must score the set of dice in one of the scoring boxes.

SimpleYahtzee ReviewA big glich in program - Version: 1.0.1, 8/22/2003 10:26AM PST

Was realy enjoying playing the game until Game #15 or so when a game malfunction cheated me out of what would of definately been my highest score by far. I had all my extras (straights, full house, yatsee, etc.) and allready had been awarded my 35 point bonus without any 1's filled in (72 top score including an extra 3, 5, and 6) at the top. I rolled and got 2 ones but when I added them to my 1's column, the top total score changed from 72 to 2. And although that was the last item that I needed to finish the game, my total score plumented and the game wouldn't tally up the total and give me a final score. It kept giving me new turns but there were no places to put a new score, all were filled in. I like the idea of getting a bonus like the original game of Yatzee but realy am disapointed in the obvious bug in such a simple program. I didn't mind the less than spectacular graphics but really expected a "graphically challenged" game like this to run flawlessly. I would of given a 5 star if not for the above disappointment can only give a 2 star until the glich is fixed.

Love this - but I got cheated out of my upper table bonus when 3,4,9,12,20,18 added up to 54. 5 stars otherwise!

in every way as far as the game goes, and the way it installs. It could use a bit of color, though.
