Product Description:

3ivx is a natural video compression system that is compliant with MPEG-4v3. The strengths lay in its open architecture, multi-platform availability (Windows, MacOS, Linux/Unix, BeOS and Amiga) and it's high compression ratio which compresses video's and moving images to one thirteenth (1:13) of the size of a DVD or MPEG-2 movie while maintaining approximately the same quality.

The 3ivx Web site is now back in its entirety, with store and support now visible. Keys can once again be downloaded. But don't expect an apology, or an explanation of what went wrong.....

First the 3ivx Web site went away altogether, then it came back minus the store and forums. This means if you bought the product (as I did) it's now impossible to access your account and download the key which is essential to re-installing on a new or reformatted computer.

Avoid like the plague.

Doesn't work, and when you think you uninstalled it, it stays stuck in your Library - Quicktime folder and will be used when you for example import an avi file into iMovie.
Which will result in that AVI file suddenly having this big ugly horrible "3iVX demo expired logo" over it (and I mean ALL over it!), and you wasted 2 hours importing a movie that before you installed and removed 3ivx would import just fine without the damned logo over it.
Stay away!
