Sign up for AOL AIM (free) which is an intant message chat tool. Then add: My IP Relay to your buddy list. VIOLA, free TTY service right out of your AOL AIM. OR, you can go to http://www.ip-relay.com/index.htm which is also a free TTY service based on Java using your very own browser.

it down. Nice product, but there is no other comparison on the mac, so ANY tty software would be great to me. Unfortunately, the price of 74.99 seems like a rip off. (the educational price isnt much better). some states provide FREE ttys to the deaf, so having a tty on the computer is not much more than a convenience.

is a telecommunication device for the deaf not the "tty" used in unix. That's why there is no support for peer to peer over internet. it use modem to call other deaf or hard of hearing's tdd/tty device or software. check the website at www.softtty.com to see the screenshot and understand what softtty is for.. There is no other tdd/tty apps for mac os x.
