CronniX ReviewDoes Nothing - Version: 3.0.2, 5/23/2009 10:50AM PST

On an Intel iMac ConniX does not appear to do anything. I've done far more complicated scripts than I'm trying in ConniX and they run just fine. Even the New Year's sample that comes preloaded does not respond to the "Run Now" command.

Not for the faint of heart or, does not work with Intel.

Otherwise a nice app. If you need the functionality and it runs on a PPC, do it.

CronniX Troubleshooting ReportGetting Cronnix Report - Version: 3.0.2, 3/29/2009 05:52PM PST

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me
I have installed CronniX on my OSX 10.5.5 Mail server and its running a mailbfr cron job that's working fine.
I have logged into the system as root to do this. My problem is I suspect the completion report is being sent to 'root'@myserver.com and I want to change that to my email address.
Does anyone know how to do this using Cronnix or does one have to use Pico and Terminal?

I have been a long-time user of this app and can't recommend it enough -- it's always one of the first tools I suggest that other "Applescripters" have in hand.

CronniX Troubleshooting ReportGreat app - Version: 3.0.2, 6/5/2007 12:57AM PST

Great app -- its ability import and export crontabs is great since I can back the important schedules up for when I have a crash or upgrade machines.

I am a hevay *nix user, but still preffer this to crontab -e.

Really would like to see the interval section working, which is usefull since that syntax on the comman line is confusing and would be asimple additon.

CronniX CommentaryCan't make it work - Version: 3.0.2, 10/23/2006 05:59PM PST

Cronnix has & still does work flawlessly on my G4 & I highly recommend it. Not so on my Intel Duo.

Just installed v3.0.2. That did not help. Tried using simple echo Applescripts in user mode & system mode. Each displays a window:
"Running command
/Users/BK/Library/Application Support/CronniX Items/Echo, TST.app
The output will appear below when the command has finished executing".

Sorry to say that the Applescript.app never opens.

I'm having no luck either downloading from the VersionTracker link, or even getting to the developer's web page. The web site seems unresponsive, which is a shame as I have used CronniX for quite some time and have found it to be useful.

Hi there,

Not too sure about all the problems with the non-Intel machines but I have been using this application on a non-Intel machine with absolutely no problems at all. The application is rock solid and creates the required crontab files for me with no problems at all.

A simply exquisite and easy to use application. Many thanks to the developer for making it easy for me to create cron jobs. Had looked at many tutorials on the net on how to create them but never really wanted to mess with the Terminal that much!!

Thanks again!
