The developer of this product appears to have posted an Intel-only version, not a Universal Binary as stated. That is why it won't run on a non-Intel Macs.
Hopefully, they'll post a real Universal Binary soon.

Upon running the app, I get: "You cannot run Cronnix because it is not supported on this architecture."
Mac Quad and 10.4.6.

Not too sure about all the problems with the non-Intel machines but I have been using this application on a non-Intel machine with absolutely no problems at all. The application is rock solid and creates the required crontab files for me with no problems at all.
A simply exquisite and easy to use application. Many thanks to the developer for making it easy for me to create cron jobs. Had looked at many tutorials on the net on how to create them but never really wanted to mess with the Terminal that much!!
