Ircle 3.5 and Intel Macs - Version: 3.5a5, 10/27/2006 09:49AM PST

However since getting a MacBook Pro, I am unable to use it, as it unexpectedly quits after a short time, often before getting connected to a server.
What is a stable version of Ircle I can use on my Intel Mac?
Bill

NaOHThat isn't to say I haven't tried others. However, I always come back to Ircle for one reason or another.
I would probably be the first to admit that it's not the prettiest interface around, but it is functional and allows me to customise it to suit my needs.
However, I would want to suggest two improvements that Onno could consider for future releases.
Firstly: Develop a plug-in system to extend the feature set.
Scripting is good and well, but being able to only load one script at a time does limit the choice of features that can be added.
As yet, I haven't found any single script that covers all the capabilities that I want. Being able to load multiple plug-ins which add one feature each would get around that.
(Yes, I know I could write my own script, but that would presume that my scripting abilities are up to the job.)
Secondly: Allow for a single-windowed and tabbed GUI.
This doesn't mean that you have to throw away the existing GUI. Simply allow the existing windows to live within another window, and to be chosen by tabs. (While providing users the choice of operating within a tabbed, non-tabbed or mixed GUI.)
Other than that, I am pretty happy with the direction that Ircle is moving. Stability is improving on Intel Macs, and there are some promising feature developments in the pipeline.
Keep up the good work!

Unix_MaximusOpera, XChat Aqua.
I can see asking for donations but expecting someone to pay as shareware is ridiculous and to me takes alot of nerve. Sorry but people work hard for their money and it does not grow on trees.
You have done nothing to prove to me why I should have your program over someone elses? Maybe someone else has money to throw away but I sure do not.

MacMinisterI was not impressed by what I saw. Money doesn't grow on tree's either.
There have been many comments on IRCLE. How about someone who owns it writing a decent review? Why should people want to shell out money and buy it?
The big problem is people make comments but never ever express what they mean. Some even talk in circles and make no sense.
