I've found that going into your lib/save/ folder and duplicating your saved game after you save it and while you're still playing saves a lot of screaming when you get trapped in a room of eternally multiplying lice. (Kinda cheating since dying is what makes Angband so intense, but also nice to have a backup just in case something crazy happens.) Just yesterday I opened a door with about 30 orcs in it... :P

be one of the best games ever created..... the sheer enjoyability of the gameplay, not to mention the addictive nature of the game, creates what ought to go down in the history books as being the pentultimate RPQ, the last game that ever needed to be programmed, the alpha, and the omega. nothing can come close to the enduring popularity that angband has experienced, and will continue to experience, i'm sure.... if i could, i'd give it 6 stars.
