I thought DynDNS Updater was the successor to this? Which one uses less system resources? Will this product be updated for 10.5 when it comes out?

Works fine in Tiger - Version: 2.7, 7/27/2005 10:06PM PST

I've seen some notes out there saying that this app doesn't work in Tiger. I've installed it on two machines running 10.4 and I've had no trouble at all.
A perfect tool ...

I use this application to administer some far away Macs. Installation is very easy - and it works on 5 machines (OSX 10.2 & 10.3) now without problems! Just make sure thast if the Mac is within a local network you will need to configure your router to route the ports to the machine (I use ssh so I route port 22).
Daemon fails... - Version: 2.7, 7/17/2004 03:30AM PST

I could never get the UI to connect to the daemon...kept telling me that the daemon has failed. This is after a restart as suggested. Any ideas? I really would like to get this client to work, considering the Java alternative is more difficult to configure and doesn't seem to work.

i was about to post with an agreement with ibiubu, but after looking at dnsupdate again it does works with panther. this is a very useful little app because somehow my netgear haven't been talking with dyndns for 2 months.
full marks for keeping my dyndns account active

doesn't seem to crash my LinkSys router either ... the router is used with my cable modem and not ADSL PPPOE.
no probs with this neat software since I started using it in OS X 10.2

Linksysy and DNS Update - Version: 2.7, 12/29/2003 12:45AM PST

I have good reason to believe that dns update has been crashing my linksys befsr41 router, although i have not definitively proved it. But, when i uninstalled the daemon, the router has yet to crash. When i had it installed, the router crashed daily, most likely coinciding with the daily changes of my dynamic PPOE IP address. I even bought a new linksys befsr41 version 3 router, and it still crashed. Unfortunately the new dyndns feature in the router software is very buggy so i don't have anything to automatically update my ip.

Used this application in Jag with no problems. This does not work in Panther. Applications runs, but does not update the DNS service providers.
