Product Description:

PTHVolume is a very simple menu bar volume controller for OS X. Clicking on it's icon will show you a volume slider and a mute button, clicking on another app causes these controls to hide. Right clicking on it will toggle mute. It does not show up in the dock. Hold down shift while clicking to move the window.

Can you tell me how to uninstall PTHVolume Application. I get a messgae that it can not be moved to the trah because it is open.

Hmm... never mind - yes it does make it background only. Rather, what it does is make it not have an icon in the dock. You still get a menu when you click on the icon in the menubar, although there is no dock icon. I guess I just forgot that that is how it behaved.

I updated to the new version, but now I can't get it to be a background-only application. I thought setting LSUIElement to 1 in the Info.plist file would do this, however it's already set as 1. I tried making it 0 and all that seemed to do was cause it to come to the front when it is launched. Have I got this wrong and it is something else that makes the app background only? I did try moving it to the desktop and back with no effect.
