Version display discrepancy - Version: 1.1.3, 9/21/2009 06:27AM PST

I've reported the discrepancy in the display of "my version" versus "current version" at least a dozen times to Version Tracker. My version displays 1.0 and get info displays 1.1.3. Is there any reason this can't be corrected from a developer's standpoint?
