Bug: Apple Mail, dragging a selection of mail attachments - Version: 10.4.11, 11/28/2007 08:15AM PST
(1 of 2 users found this comment useful)
mediaVinciHello,
I am having a problem with Apple Mail since I have applied the 10.4.11 Combo Updater.
I have selected several photos I have received in an email. I am dragging the selection to the desired folder on my desktop.
The photos will not be copied to that location. Instead, a text clipping appears in my destination folder with the following filename:
yyyyyyy
?
If I am dragging a single photo to my destination folder, the file will be copied accordingly.
If I am dragging the entire selection, the text clipping appears.
As far as I can remember, I never had such an issue under Mac OS X 10.4.10

Pink vertical line on my screen - Version: 10.4.11, 11/23/2007 03:16PM PST

mediaVinciI have noticed a pink vertical line today on my Apple PowerBook 17"/ 1,67 Ghz (Model A1107).
So, it seems like this it it? My Apple PowerBook is done?!
As far as I have read on the web, Apple Computer Inc. has already deleted several threads on other websites.
There seems something going totally wrong here.

All Appears well with 10.4.11 on iMac G5 PPC - Version: 10.4.11, 11/20/2007 09:59AM PST

apvocelkaI NEVER use Software Update.
I always update using Macfixit recommended upgrade procedure and have never had a problem with updates which include Security Updates. I hope I didn't just jinx myself by saying that. It seems to work every time for me. Takes a few more steps but it is worth it if you don't have problems.
I think installing in Safe mode, as Macfixit recommends, helps. Maybe not .
I installed a couple of days ago and everything seems to have a speed increase. Rare with updates.
All is well with Safari as well.
The internet Widgets did not work at first but after just restarting they were working again.

Backup files gone & There are other file sharing users connected to your computer? - Version: 10.4.11, 11/19/2007 02:20PM PST

mediaVincistrange problem.
I just noticed that all the data on my backup HD are gone. I have verified my disk using Apple's Disk Utility. Disk Utility indicates that there are "0" files on my backup HD.
Huuch ???
When I tried to restart my computer, I got the alert box on my screen which indicated.
"There are other file sharing users connected to your computer!"
BUT THERE WERE DEFINITELY NO USERS CONNECTED TO MY COMPUTER.
Can someone please give me an explanation for this?
