deanmcgBibble has a very wide regard in the photographic community and yes there were one or two annoying bugs some minor and some major.
I worked with Eric to help irradicate a crashing bug which had plagued me since version 4.0 of the Mac Pro version. One phone call and three emails and Eric had the problem fixed releasing 4.2.2 today.
Sure, many people use the Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) plugin, but very few realise that you have to calibrate it first. I always got lousy results without a lot of tweaks. Even then processing large numbers of files with ACR is really slow. Even on modest hardware I am able to caption, whitebalance, check exposure and convert to 16Bit tiff over 250 images an hour and still set up the next batch in the foreground.
If you have a large number of RAW files to "process" this is without question the way to go.

However, I've found one possible bug: I tried applying an extreme WB tint to an image, then sent it to the batch processing qeue. When I looked at the file, the tint was gone. It was only when I saved the image manually that the tint showed up.
