Suggestion to developers - Version: 300, 12/18/2005 11:37AM PST

The product is getting better with each update.
I have one wish/suggestion: the installer should be able to replace the previous
version, rather than install the new version in addition to the old one.
For those of us with smaller disks (< 30 GB) adding an extra 66 MB with each update matters!
In addition, when you remove the old version its icon in the Dock
points to a nonexisting application.

As an old "schemer" I enjoy this beautiful implementation, which can be run a various levels (from beginner to ProfessorJ -- a Java-like language).
The interface is nice.
The one thing I am missing is the ability to run it from emacs. (Maybe the Darwin X11 version has this -- did anyone try it?)

Weird. …

Doc Bill--2008
excellent package for learning the Scheme language, and for picking up the concepts of programming in general. The package is complete. The Scheme implementation is fast, and appears to have effcient garbage collection. The environment has very nice editing cues, and the error messages are clear and concise. This learning tool is very, very well done.
Otherwise it is probably the best programming environment, which both my 11-year-old grandson and any experienced Lisp/Scheme programmer can enjoy on any platform.
