I have Office 2004 & 2008. I haves Pages, Keynote AppleWorks, and many many others, and all for free, so I don't see the point in this.

While I appreciate the original intention of icWord, it seems like the world might have moved on from needing this. We're now in a situation where entire suites such as OpenOffice and NeoOffice can be installed for free, Keynote (formerly a single application costing $99) has become the iWork trio, and Microsoft offers a free trial of Office.
They are of course entitled to charge what they like, but these days it seems like $30 (icWord + icExcel) might be a bit much for a reader/converter that doesn't handle Office 2007 files, when the full-blown iWork is $79 (and it's only $79 only if you decide to keep it beyond the trial). If you just needed to convert a batch of files, you could simply use the trial and just make sure you're done in the 30 days (although that's also true of the icWord/icExcel trial versions, but iWork would allow corrections/adjustments to be made).
In a way, this seems to parallel compression software such as StuffIt - we seem to have outgrown it due to new alternatives and feature additions in existing software. Indeed, Panergy seem to have lost interest in maintaining it. I would suggest they reconsider how they provide this product; possibly using it as a loss-leader (free or very cheap) to draw people in to their other products. At the moment there's little compelling reason to use it.

"icWord® 4.1 enables you to work with Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® PowerPoint, NisusWriter and AppleWorks files created on both PCs and Macs - without the original application! icWord® lets you open, view, print, convert and use Word, PowerPoint or AppleWorks files. icWord® works with systems Mac OS 7.1 through Mac OS X version 10.5."
This is a bit different from what is currently on the VT page.
About PowerPoint:
"**(no transition effects or audio support)"
IOW, despite the vague use of 'view' in the description of this app, it is NOT actually intended as a PowerPoint presentation viewing application. Instead it is just a bare bones PowerPoint file editor.
