ACDSee ReviewFor me, this is appears to be the best there is (1.6.9) - Version: 1.6, 6/17/2004 06:26PM PST

This program has its share of problems, but at least the minor revisions seem to have been upgraded in recent times, which is good news.

I was happy with the classic version on the PC before I dumped windows and moved to a Mac. And although there are many great graphics programs on the Mac, none work like ACDSEE or something like GwenView on Linux.

Most others are slow in comparison and hopeless for navigating 3000+ images in a single directory, all thumbnailed.

ACDSEE's strenghts are its fast, can navigate existing directories with ease, has full screen mode that works nicely like the PC one although zoom is limited.

So for the Time being this is as good as it gets for me, be it limited and with many bugs. (I dont recommend any editing of images with this product) but the browser and its speed is what sets ACDSEE appart from the others

So to the ACDSEE team, fix the bugs and if add any features. Zooming in full screen mode when autosize is on would be nice.

iView MediaPro. I find it to be a better application than ACDSee. It is fast, creates small catalog files, and has many features. I've been using iView to catalog my photo collection in addition to creating individual catalogs for each DVD-RAM disk or CD-R I create. Try iView before deciding.
