  • Nikon Transfer now supports transfer of image files recorded with the NEF+JPEG function provided by the D2H
  • A Transfer option has been added to specify whether to embed a preview image in a NEF file. This function can only be used if the NEF+JPEG recording mode was used with D2H. If this option is selected, opening a file using Nikon Viewer will be faster, although transfer speed will be slower.
  • The vertical format marking function provided by the D2H is now supported. When transferring images with the vertical format mark attached, Nikon Transfer will detect it and the images will be automatically rotated and saved to the set destination in their correct orientation. When these images are displayed in Nikon Browser, Nikon Viewer or Nikon Editor, they will be displayed in their correct orientation.
  • Nikon Transfer now supports the transfer of Dust Off reference photos (.NDF) captured with the D2H When these files are displayed as thumbnails in Nikon Browser, they display with an NDF-specific icon.
  • Precision of the Red Eye Correction feature in Nikon Editor has been increased
  • Effects of application of the Imprint shooting date and Imprint shooting date with time options can now be verified in the preview image displayed in the Print layout dialog.
  • Image information selected in the Meta data print setup dialog can now be verified with the preview image displayed in the Print layout dialog
  • Nikon View now supports a function that clears all red and black frames surrounding the preview image in the Print layout dialog when the mouse cursor is placed over the image and the mouse button held down
  • Options displayed in the Select layout pull-down menu have been changed to indicate the number of frames displayed horizontally. In addition, a new option, 5 x 8 Up has been added
  • A Bring All to Front item has been added to the Nikon Browser and Nikon Viewer Window menu. When this option is selected, all Browser window(s) or Viewer window(s) are brought forward on the desktop

Personally, I'm going to stick with Adobe Photoshop + the Camera Raw plug-in.

Much faster, better interface, etc.
