Double sales taxes? - Version: 2.5.4, 5/12/2005 08:53AM PST

My problem is that I live and work in Canada, where taxes are all over the place, just like litter. We have two (2) sales taxes here: one federal, one provincial, the latter calculated on the total including the former... Anyway, I wrote to Andrew Stone about this about a year ago, because TEM does not handle the two taxes system. He promptly replied that I had a good point and that this feature should be included in a future update. Of course, it has not, yet, and this software is useless to be. The work-around is clunky at best. It would probably be faily easy to add the feature but many American-centric users might not like such "foreign feature". So, TEM is for Americans only. - Normand

I had lost my registration information (after a system upgrade or something), and hadn't used the application in about a year (since I hadn't done hourly billing for a while). Then, I took on a project, and needed to use TimeEqualsMoney again. I e-mailed the developer, and literally in minutes, he responded with my registration information.
If you ever have a problem with this application--not that I think you will--you can expect very fast response from the developer. I also wonder if Andrew Stone ever sleeps. ;)

Charging by the minute has improved my bottom line. I bill clients more fairly, which helps good will. I get paid more fairly because fees are more accurate. I also win more clients from people at the same rate that are still charging by the quarter-hour.
The interface is now finished as far as I am concerned. The later editions added "expense" fields do everything I need.
Speed is mostly not an issue with something like this, but the launch time has improved since the earlier versions. That helps.
The only thing that I need to criticize is the invoices. (1) I want the clients telephone number and E-mail address automatically added to the invoice, but I cannot do that with this version. (2) I need one logo for E-mailed invoices (low-rez) and another logo (high-rez) for printed invoices, but there is no convent way to do that in this version.
And finally my wish-list would add direct export to QuickBooks.
