I find it unfortunate and disturbing to read such biased and negative reviews as below.
Over many years of use, I have found Voyager to be an excellent program that serves the needs of both amateurs and professionals. The price, support and quality of the product all receive an "A" in my book.
Having met the owners and programmers at Macworld on several occasions, I can tell you that not only are they nice people, but they are passionate about astronomy and committed to keeping Voyager one of the top astronomy programs on the market. They aren't standing still and they are innovating. Try version 4, you'll find it leaps and bounds better than previous versions.

I originally played with Voyager years ago, and it's nice to see it being brought up to date and improved. The interface still has some old Classic MacOS-isms, but the program is fast and has a nice selection of Hubble images to go along with their rendered graphics.
Their telescope control is first-rate.
(The old reviews seem to concern a pre-OSX version of the program and are no longer very relevant.)

Berkeley, and I found that it really helped me out on some of the projects. It's a lot of fun to
play with, and I've actually spent hours just "wasting time" with it. But hey.. I'm a nerd. :) Also, I really like the horizon panorama feature. My partner created a whole bunch
of panoramas that showed the stars as it actually looks from our location. This was definitely nice when it was the middle of the day, the assignments due in an hour, and we hadn't looked at the sky last night. Hehe. In conclusion, I'm not an expert in astronomy... but I was able to figure out what all the buttons did, and it helped my grade for sure.
