Product Description:

Kinemac is a 3D Real Time Animation & Presentation Software for Mac OS X. It allows you to create your own professional 3D Animations with the simplicity of a 2D presentation tool. Just drag your images, texts, movies, songs, SVG and 3D OBJ files onto the Kinemac stage to get them into your animation. Kinemac also allows you to apply images and movies onto the ready-to-use objects like cubes, cylinders, spheres, tubes, pies, rectangles, disks... which you can easily animate by setting key frames. Also, it lets you quickly create 3D Text and 2D scrolling text (RTF and RTFD) with any kind of font, color, size, shadows, embedded images... A powerful animation control system based on Bezier curves allows you to carefully control any aspect of the movement such as translations, rotations, resizing, fading, speed, acceleration and deceleration of any object on the stage. The result is a professional and smooth animation which you can play in Real-Time/Full-Screen or export to a QuickTime movie file. Kinemac uses the latest technologies like the OpenGL engine, QuickTime and the Cocoa frameworks, making it the ideal application to create Advertising for TV, trailers for movies, video-clips, instant scrolling messaging to put "on air" in real time, video content for CD, DVD, web sites... Also it has been said "awesome" to illustrate concepts through 3D animations at conferences, schools and universities. Kinemac is for Mac OS X only.

Kinemac ReviewTHE Must Have 3D Animation software package - Version: 1.8.0, 11/4/2009 10:48AM PST

PioneerDigitalMedia
I have been using Kinemac for years now, and I am embarrassed to admit how little I have read the instructions! I went through them all after the version 1.8 upgrade today, and the program is even easier to use now. The instructions are well written, but didn't seem necessary once I started using the program, which is quick and intuitive.

The developer is personable, responsive, and has set exceptionally high standards for ease of use and output quality in this program. This program fills the void for Apple ease of use quality software in the 3D creation domain.

For other users that don't read instructions enough, you have to have the Kinemac registration file in the same folder as the version of Kinemac that you are launching. No registration file in the Kinemac folder, no registered Kinemac functionality, pretty simple.

I use Final Cut Studio and other expensive editing packages, and Kinemac is well priced, and is amazingly fast in immediately playing back 3D previews in the timeline. Time is money, and Kinemac doesn't waste any time in previews. Output rendering is also reasonable.

Occasionally, the developer runs a sale price on Kinemac, but it is irreplaceable for 3D logo creation at the normal price.

I output transparent background animations from Kinemac right into Final Cut projects, with excellent antialiasing and motion blur effects already included. There are plenty of prebuilt templates included, also.

Version 1.8 has logically added new features, and seems more stable, as it is currently rendering a very complex animation that I had a few problems with in the previous release. I'm running Mac OS 10.6.1 which probably explains the stability improvements over the last version, which did not give me troubles until my OS upgrade.

I hope the developer does not get overwhelmed with user communication, it has always been a premium experience getting feedback and encouragement from the owner of this excellent product. It is designed not to require much tech support, which is the sign of the best kind of mission philosophy in a software company.

Years later, even with 3D features added to Final Cut Studio's Motion program, there is nothing like Kinemac out there. New versions have added better interface features, and occasional new special effects templates. I'm down to one feature I'd like to see added someday, but I have nothing to complain about with the growth of this product! Excellent work Lorenzo!

Don't miss playing with the free demo, you'll be happily hooked with the purchase version as I was!

Have 1.6.6 which is great. Upgraded to 1.8 today and now my system in not authorized! Going down to 1.6.6 all is fine but 1.8 keeps the grid and watermark - what is this?
