Product Description:

X-Plane is the ultimate general-aviation flight sim. With hardware-accelerated texture-mapped graphics, dynamic speech synthesis, full-planet terrain-mapped scenery, helicopters, and the widest range of airplanes available in flight simulation, X-Plane will keep your eyes popping out for hours.

What's new in this version:

This release is all about shortening and tightening and re-organizing the code, increasing the frame-rate once some more optimizations are done during beta, increasing power and flexibility and realism, and integrating the major, structural changes to carry X-Plane forwards for years.

X-Plane Usage TipThis is a BETA- demo - Version: 9.30 Beta-5, 3/7/2009 06:36PM PST

9.3 beta 5 is a beta, you do not want to install it over a full working x-plane installation. These early betas are usually full of bugs and can totally wipe out a previous installation.
What most long time x-plane users do is either wait for the final version, or create a separate install for the betas... a demo will work as a full install (not time limited) with your x-plane boot disk in the drive.

X-Plane CommentaryAnother "Demo" version? - Version: 9.30 Beta-3, 2/18/2009 07:41PM PST

The installer states it will install a new "Web Demo" copy of X-Plane. The updater used to install the latest beta version of X-Plane into the existing directory where the app lives. I have the DVD's of version 9 and want to get updates/betas, NOT demo version of X-Plane...Please explain this to me...

I am a little confused here...The installer is saying it will download and install a "Demo" version of X-Plane. I have the DVD's for version 9...I don't want a DEMO version. Am I mixed up or missing something here?

Thanx!
