I have used SplashID on my smartphone for quite a while and am quite happy with it. I got SplashID on my Mac thinking I could surely sync the two. I have not found any way to do so and got no response when I emailed the developer.

I have emailed the SplashData folks twice for help and never received a reply.
I upgraded my PPC Powerbook to 10.5 and SplashID would not launch; it just hangs and quits.
Now, on a new Intel Macbook Pro, it shoots up to 99% CPU and hangs. Will not launch.
I'm going to look for a better-supported tool!

This is NOT the same as SplashID iPhone Desktop, but Versiontracker thinks they're the same. Needs to be fixed, or you'll d/l this, whose version numbers are ahead of the iPhone desktop version.
