ToyViewer Troubleshooting ReportWindows do not close automatically - Version: 4.92, 4/27/2008 05:01PM PST

MacOSX 10.4.10, PowerPC
When using "scan folder..." to view a folder with multiple images, as a new window opens with the next image the previous window is supposed to close automatically. For me it doesn't -- so I end up with a screen full of hundreds of image windows.

ToyViewer ReviewToy Viewer Rocks! - Version: 4.91, 2/17/2007 04:30PM PST

I have used Toy Viewer from its inception and I can definitely state it is great! The arrangement for viewing as well as the setup is truly ingenious. This app is now my default app for viewing all .jpgs and the rest.

ToyViewer Commentarynicely designed - Version: 4.82, 7/5/2006 01:02PM PST

Very nicely designed, light-weight and straight forward. The only negatives are; slideshow preferences are not saved and slides cannot be shown for more than 10 seconds (each)... a control panel (even a minimized one akin to Graphic Converter's) would be appreciated in slideshow mode as well.

i really like the simplicity and elegance of this application. it loads fast with minimum screen clutter. so far, it's been able to open anything i've thrown at it. it's got a lot of functionality to it that preview lacks. also, i love that it displays all the info at the bottom of the frame and that it automatically starts a slide show when you drop a folder of images on it. i also like the application xee another japanese freeware gem with similar functionality.

ToyViewer Troubleshooting ReportSite is down? - Version: 4.76, 8/23/2005 05:44PM PST

Anxious to use Toyviewer but can't seem to get the site to load. I am using an older version but it crashes on save. I am sure the fix will be in the Tiger version. I am using 10.4.2.
If anyone has been able to get the newer version let me know.

Thanks,

ToyViewer ReviewExcellent image viewer and editor - Version: 4.75, 6/27/2005 11:39AM PST

I discovered ToyViewer (TV) through Charles Moore's Applelinks (www.applelinks.com).

This is an excellent image editor and viewer. The program is small and yet does alot of the color corrections and effects that I'd be using Photoshop for. It also has more utilities than iPhoto 5's image editor. At first the lack of an "Undo" function in TV baffled me, but then I realized the advantages of how TV handles editted images.

The developer's website has a detailed manual for new users of TV.

I now use TV most of the time to edit my images instead of using iPhoto 5. However, it's still easier to perform color balance corrections in iPhoto 5 because of the Levels histogram. If only TV also provided a Levels histogram, I would not need to use any other image editor other than TV.

ToyViewer Usage TipThis is Tiger Only Release not 10.3+ - Version: 4.75, 6/25/2005 04:05AM PST

I could not understand all the positive feedback when I only got white space instead of jpgs. Then I went to website which advertises this as the Tiger binary. So I copied it to the Tiger iBook and it works.
