CommuniGate Systems - CommuniGate Pro ReviewGreat email server, and great support - Version: 5.0.1, 12/5/2007 03:41PM PST

I've been using Communigate for several years (Mac OS 9 through 10.4) and it has been one of the most solid performers in our business. I have found customer support to be very responsive and most importantly, COMPETENT when it comes to solving problems. As a result, Communigate allowed us to manage our email without programmer-level (or even sysop level) IT staff.

To those who complain about the price, I'm sorry you don't see the value. I see nothing but value, and one less thing to worry about for our business.

The current stable version of CGP is 5.1.7, not 5.1.8. Not sure why VT (and MacUpdate) are announcing an update that doesn't exist yet. Is this a psychic update? http://www.communigate.com/CommuniGatePro/History51.html

I bought CommuniGate Pro many years ago and kept updating through 4.X as long as the upgrades were free. I dropped out when the licensing terms changed radically, and ran 4.X without problem for quite a while. This is really very nice software for managing a lot of things easily.

Now, however, it turns out that CommuniGate is FREE for users with five accounts or less, so I'm going back to upgrade.

Try it, you'll like it, as long as you're a small enough operation to fly under the 5 account limit,
