Tried this under 10.3.8 and a Logitech USB headset. After choosing "Record New...", selecting the headset, and creating a file, it errors out with "Error in PaHost_OpenStream: SPBSetDeviceInfo siNumberChannnels returned -201 PaHost_OpenStream: sPaHostError = 0xffffff37." It doesn't record anything and then "Unexpectedly quit[s]" on me. Obviously unusable. I guess you get what you pay for...

10.2.3 Awesome awesome power, especially for freeware! I was having a lot of trouble figuring it out until I found out a manual was on the website....I guess that's what I get for skipping the readme :-D

OSX 10.2.3 - probably not up to date with the changes in core audio. "Unexpectedly" quits on every attempt too process any sound. No amount of cleaning out the prefs seems to make any difference. Pity, used to be great when it worked. Also, doesn't seem to be able to fix headers anymore.

If you're using Mac OS 9 or 9.0.4, try updating to 9.2.1 or 9.2.2. I have a friend who's having problems with the very first builds of Mac OS 9. Under OS X you should have no problems, unless your computer is a dinosaur!

there is a generic Icon for the app. Also, in OS9 I could use the "close and edit" functionality. I am unable to do so in OSX... I'd like to be able to link to some simple app like sound studio or something like that. doesn't link to classic apps either. -Gideon

application. It is a "must have" for anyone who plays with audio files. It saved my butt on numerous occasions. Tom Erbe deserves major kudos for his work.
