Product Description:

Sharity mounts shares exported by Windows, Samba and other SMB/CIFS servers in the file system of Unix computers. Sharity implements Resource Browsing similar to the Windows Network Neighborhood (Netbios Workgroups and Active Directory), NTLM, NTLMv2 and Kerberos authentication, Microsoft's Distributed File System (DFS), manipulation of Access Control Lists (ACLs) and it is available for Mac OS X, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, SGI IRIX, IBM AIX, Linux, FreeBSD and OpenBSD operating systems.

What's new in this version:

Kerberos authentication did not work with Windows 2008 servers. Fixed.
The modification date of newly created files could be off by several seconds. Fixed.
Share names may now contain non-ASCII characters.
Fixed display of share level security mounts in login list.
Added workarounds for unreliable DFS servers. DFS capable servers may not report their DFS capability immediately after reboot.
Always allow root user to unmount shares, even if the mounts section is locked.
Implemented NTLM2 (not to be confused with NTLMv2) authentication. This improves interoperability with Windows 2008 Server.

Much better than Apple's built-in client (which gets the permissions all wrong) with our Windows Storage Server. The magic automounting behavior is pretty cool. Wish the GUI wouldn't minimize when you try to close it though, and were a bit more Mac-like.

Has anyone been using this app *lately*?

I'm thinking of using Sharity to keep from having to reconnect to the local windows shares every time my PB goes into deep sleep.
