Microtek ScanWizard Pro Reviewhorrible software - Version: 7.62, 10/14/2009 06:15PM PST

Microtek has done it again with their latest version of ScanWizard Pro for Mac OSX. This is one of the worst hardware software combinations I have ever used. It offers virtually no improvements over the previous versions.

Microtek ScanWizard Pro ReviewMIcro-Tek ScanWizard is frustrated and unreliable - Version: 7.62, 8/26/2009 01:37PM PST

I have been having trouble for the past couple of years using Scan Wizard with my MacBook Pro OS X. It has difficulty locating my scanner, then doesn't recognize it, etc.
I've spent many hours trying to find the "trick" to make it work.

If anyone who knows software could make this reliable, I'd be happy to pay for this rather than disk a very expensive large format scanner.

In the meantime, I've purchased a smaller format Epson, since I cannot afford their large format version.

Microtek ScanWizard Pro ReviewNot impressed - Version: 7.62, 6/2/2009 01:43AM PST

In the interests of balance, and to correct an overly generous score I gave earlier. This software is at best flaky. When it actually works it does a fair job, but it just crashes, locks up, grinds to a halt too much to be anything but frustrating most of the time.
