BeFit Reviewdisappointed, demo is not enough to warrant a $15 buy - Version: 1.0, 7/24/2009 08:24PM PST

Downloaded and launched hoping to see something just slightly applicable to my life in the demo, instead I find 40% of the demo database is still babyfood despite developer response that much has been removed.

I also found that serving sizes were still, as said in another review, based only on weight. When I want to see nutritional info for cinnamon I am going to be looking per teaspoon, not grams. Even oatmeal (babyfood of course) has its serving size based on 140g, not something easily measurable like cup or ounce as most food packaging displays.

A good demo should make you want to take some time to thrown down good money for a good product, this made me want to take time to login and review about how perturbed it made me instead.

BeFit CommentaryQuestionable Usefulness and a really lousy demo - Version: 1.0, 11/6/2008 10:05PM PST

I just downloaded the software because MacZot had it for half off. It seems to lack the ability to keep track of all of the calories you take in over a day and then show you them in some graphic format over time. This would seem an essential functionality. One could use open office or excel, but that would limit usefulness of this software.

As I said, I couldn't really tell, because the demo is so limited (only 500 foods for BeFit and 100 for Calorie Tracker-none of which I could really find on CT) that I really couldn't test it out what the software would do. Based on this, I decided that even at half off, it wasn't worth my trouble.

I re-vamped the demo database, I removed 95% of the baby-food items and replaced them with actual food, items. So sorry for the inconvenience everyone, check out the new demo database, same download link above.
