Product Description:

MailForge (formerly known as Odysseus) is the Eudora style email client that Infinity Data Systems started developing in late 2007. As such, its designed to be a best-of-breed email client, focusing on power, elegance, and simplicity.

New, more robust SMTP socket
Improved and extensive SMTP logging
Now possible to specify full email or header only download
Fixed multiple issues that could cause IMAP download to stall
Fixed issue that could cause an error when when opening nested IMAP mailboxes

Balancing out the mow-ron who rated one star because of an installation error that was his fault. Old time Eudora user here, high hopes for MailForge (cuz Rosetta is not forever)....

Just downloaded and set up MailForge v1.0.3 That "simple, elegant" manual functionality the old Eudora (v 6.2.4) had, seems to be in MailForge. (e.g. the Address Book layout is more straight forward than Mozilla's Eudora 8). The $20 early registration fee seems reasonable as well. Too soon to say if it'll be worth the $40 full program price point. That said, I'll hold judgment till version 2.0 -the full version- is released.
