As usual there is no download link on the Media Player download page. You'd think that a company of Adobe's size and experience would have figured out by now how to make a simple web link. Unfortunately, they can't resist the temptation to show off their bells and whistles, even though those bells and whistles don't work for many people. This is not just bad design, it's brain dead stupid. Oh, and if you are unwise enough to actually launch even the previous version of Media Player it will, without asking your permission or even informing you that it's doing so, install itself in your startup items. The people responsible for this disaster should be collecting unemployment.
No application preferences screen is available to the user to control its activities. It is always a login item that launches at startup. Remove it from you Users Startup Items and the next time that the bloody application launches, it places itself right back in your Startup Items. The behavior sucks.
While the app seems to "function" fine, I am tired of it over-riding my Flash Player for itself.
Really annoying piece of software. I do not recommend it.
On a scale of 1 through ten, I give it a Zero. And I would make that All Caps if I weren't being polite.
