Nolobe Iris ReviewStill a good way to go... - Version: 1.0, 7/3/2008 11:32AM PST

I like the UI.
But Iris still has a lot of problems. In contrast to my former poster I don't think a version 1.0 should have so many issues.

Gradient fill didn't work for me at all on small images.
Cursor symbol is not correct on some operations.
Colors cannot be saved.
It also is still quite unstable. I had one crash in 5 minutes of playing around.
No support page/forum, nothing for Iris.

I really hope that many things will be improved real soon for all the people that bought a copy.

Nolobe Iris ReviewPromising App - Version: 1.0, 7/2/2008 02:18AM PST

This is just what I have been looking for. I've been using it daily since it has been released and really like it.

It has a few problems but that is to be expected with a 1.0 release. The most annoying for me is a redraw issue on my MacBook. It doesn't happen on my Mac Pro. I've reported the problem and been told it will be fixed in 1.0.1.

Two thumbs up from me.

Nolobe Iris ReviewGorgeous Garbage - Version: 1.0, 6/24/2008 04:52PM PST

Wow, this looks great! almost like something I'd expect from Apple! BUT THEN I had the audacity to try and use it and WHOA! I know it's 1.0 but I'm not sure I've ever used a Mac application that was as horrendous as this thing. Even clicking on a different tool icon takes longer than it should to actually register and change. Don't even get me started with the text tool as there's no way to edit your text after you type it in-in other words you have to make all of your size, color, etc settings BEFORE you actually enter in the type-and you had better get it right because there's no going back.

Now let's ice the cake with the fact that there is NO DOCUMENTATION! Of course in retrospect this seems somewhat understandable as this shovelware doesn't even offer a handful of features, hardly anything, nothing, nada!

I'm almost at a loss for words, I have a hard time believing that this isn't just some prank, a practical joke that someone threw up here for a few laughs. And while I almost thought that even test-driving this ball of chud was a waste of time, I feel sorry for the poor scats who wasted time junking this thing together. Yikes!
