Veescope Hub ReviewWaste of time and potentially dangerous - Version: 0.5, 10/24/2009 05:26PM PST

I tried it, attempting to convert a high-quality .mov file to a smaller .avi file... and was left with a poor quality .avi that had completely overwritten the original file, same name, file extension and everything. It was probably partly my own fault for choosing the same folder location that the original was in, but I like to keep my video files together, as I'm sure others do. Thank goodness for Time Machine--I was able to retrieve the original high-quality file from backup. It was not well documented and the Preferences are greyed out. The only option for saving was (if I recall correctly) a folder, not a file name. Not impressed at all, and may actaully cause you to lose your original source if not used wisely.

Veescope Hub Reviewdidn't work at all. waste of bandwidth - Version: 0.5, 3/3/2009 03:30PM PST

psychee
this is supposed to convert a .mov file (quicktime) to a .mp4 file (that i can play on my iiPod)

but when i load the file (drag and drop into the main veescope window) it says, "sorry, this isn't an mp4 file"

duh

so it's useless. I'd love a recommendation as to what DOES work with this.

Veescope Hub ReviewIt functioned BUT... - Version: 0.5, 1/28/2009 01:20PM PST

It worked smoothly but wouldn't convert an mov file to an avi file: just ended up with another mov file.
Too bad because it looks like it would be a good piece of software
