Speedy Mac - 2008 Release 3

I was disappointed by this application's lack of support for different web browsers, in my case OmniWeb, but I was pleased to receive good customer support by email and on the help forums assuring me that support for OmniWeb would be added in the next release. There are dozens of launcher applications out there, but Speedy Mac sets itself apart with its floating bar approach and nice implementation of favourite and recent items as well as quick access to Apple Script tasks. The price is a little high, but not absurd, and they offer student discounts. In the end, it was the strong support that sealed my decision to buy. I don't mind paying the price so long as the developer genuinely cares about its users' needs.

This applications almost was a pleasent suprise since their are already a thousand launcher applications on the market, except this one almost brings back the beloved "Classic" workstrip in OS 9. The place where this fails its that its a bit on the pricey side in a already overcrowded category and it dosn't collasps when you click on its tab like the old workstrip. Besides that its simple and it does what it say's. What I would love to see in its development future, is the ability for the user to display the menu items on the strip its self, would'nt it be great to help an already overcrowded piece of real estate on the desktop!
