The application is well designed and easy to use. Yes, it is expensive and I too wish it were less, but considering what other applications and just things in general cost these days, I would say it is still worth the money if you use the I Ching. And you have two weeks to try it for free.
For Chinese users and people who are learning Chinese, I would recommend for a future update to include transcriptions for the Chinese characters corresponding to the hexagrams as well as to the trigrams (for which transcriptions are already given). Also, it would be helpful to have two transcriptions, one in the older Wade-Giles system which was used in most published translations of the I Ching, one in the Pinyin system which is the one most people are learning these days).

Having seen, tried and used iterations of the I Ching, print and digital, this is the finest I have seen so far. Graphics, use, interpretations, and the feel for the print versions is outstanding. What's not to like, The Price. Nice, but way overpriced... While there are free versions of the I Ching online, this product is far nicer, but I'll stay with the print and free versions until the price comes down. Try $14.95 or less and you have a sale. Probably many sales.
This program was close to 2 years work in development, and involved collaborating with the author on many aspects of the software design and functionality. One reason we have to set the price point where it is, is that a significant portion of the cost of each sale goes to the author in licensing fees, for the right to include this excellent modern rendition of the I Ching in a computer program (the text in the program comes directly from the I Ching Workbook by R.L. Wing). This is one expense that the cost of most software doesn't include, and so it isn't quite a fair comparison between our product and those containing public domain text; ours is a program plus a book, in a sense. But we feel that the quality and usefulness of a software I Ching combined with this text makes it more than worthwhile, and so far the sales are very encouraging.
One interesting note for those of you familiar with the I Ching Workbook, is that it was originally designed with a database in mind. The technology available for software at the time the book was written wasn't up the standards that the author wanted to see and so it wasn't able to materialize until now.
