Address Book Server ReviewWHY IS THIS CALLED A BETA? - Version: 18/6/09, 6/26/2009 07:54PM PST

If it's a beta, it should not cost users to basically beta test--it should be free for the duration of testing.

I've never paid to beta test anything. Ever. If anything, the beta testers are part of the development process.

If it's freeware, it should be free.

If you charge for it, it is not a beta--IT IS SHAREWARE.

VERY DECEPTIVE AND NOT ETHICAL.

I have this software running without a hitch since almost a year. It just works, no problems. The developer provided excellent, proactive support to fix the error I made during installation.

HDD/Users/[You]/Library/Application Support/Address Book

Place in same location on any other Mac, restart Address Book, and BAM, you're sync'ed for free.

Address Book Server Reviewdoes cost money, but works good & excellent support - Version: 2/6/09, 2/11/2009 02:30AM PST

I had some issues caused by own mistakes with the calendars and the developer devoted me hours (!) in a late night screen sharing session to restore data from the applications internal backup (which, btw. is a very useful feature).
He also provides prompt email support and takes his time to help with problems. The purchase has definitely paid out. Everything works as expected and users are happy with it. We have replaced our Kerio Mail Server calendars and address book with this product, since KMS was unreliable in synchronizing shared resources.

This says it all:

"Each client licenses can be used to synchronise one user account's Address Book. So if you have 2 user accounts on two different systems, you need at least a 5 user license to cover the 4 user accounts. "

Not for anyone but the foolish.
