Product Description:

A Finder plugin completely new for Leopard. Once installed, you can ctrl-click an item in the Finder to get a contextual menu "iconXprit".

The menu contains various functions to add custom icons, color and text as layers. Colors and texts added from the menus are more than visible markers - items with the same color can be listed and text is searchable.

Opening the editor panel, you have more options to adjust images and can create templates accessible from the menu afterwards.

iconXprit CommentaryMeh - Version: 1.0.5, 8/4/2008 08:23AM PST

I am a new Mac user and not overly-sophisticated. This application seems to work as advertised. I have used it to change the color of a number of icons. But I have also had trouble opening a few of the modified folders. Perhaps this was caused by this application, perhaps not.

In any case, there is no obvious way to uninstall this program. It does not appear in the applications folder, and Spotlight cannot seem to find the fool thing.

All in all, it is a minor help, but may have caused a minor headache too.

I was able to change the color of a folder, but the text I added did not stick... unless I need to restart the Finder to get it to work. I would, however, prefer not to.
