Hoyle Card Games 2008 Troubleshooting ReportUpdate from Retail Boxed Version - Version: 1.0.1, 4/30/2008 05:43PM PST

I bought the Retail Boxed version 1.0 at the Apple store. I downloaded the "digital" version 1.0.1 from VersionTracker. The download version will not accept the registration code from the boxed version. I have been to the "EncoreUSA" and the "Mega Mac Game Store" with no joy. (:-( Looks like those of us who have the Retail Boxed Version from the Apple Store are being left out in the cold!

    Hoyle Card Games 2008 ReviewGreat program - Version: 1.0.1, 4/29/2008 08:46AM PST

I've played this program in all previous versions, but had to quit with Leopard (no classic support). So when the MacOS X version finally came out, I got it right away. It plays great, and is very similar to previous versions. Graphics are a little slow on older machines but it still plays smoothly. Hoyle Card Games has all the classic games plus is the source of many games not available from anywhere else (Canasta for one). Program options for game play, card decks, backgrounds, et al are all user definable so you can set it up to what you like for play. Face Maker (for your image) does not let you import any photos and instead you have to use a supplied face or create a "cartoon type" image for you. It would have been far better to allow the import of a jpeg image, but this is a very minor point.

Overall a great way to relax and have fun playing cards.
