skitch.com is like a free screen capture program on steroids. Sure if all you're looking for is a simple screen capture iScreenshot will do fine but not much different than Grab. Skitch on the other hand is fun and contains useful functions you wouldn't have expected. check out the video on their site to see what I mean.

once you take a screen shot, how to you paste the image into, say, an email. Or where can you find the image that is saved to disk?

I d/l'd iScreenshot, compared it to Apple's built-in screenshot functionality, and found that both generate pngs, but an iS shot of my desktop omitted my menu bar and icons while an Apple shot included them; file sizes were 584Kb and 512 Kb, respectively??? (Curiously, an iS shot of a selection of my desktop included my menu bar and icons.)

Also, iS cannot be quit with a keyboard command; I had to mouse over to the appropriate radio button.

Needs clarification and more work.
