This program has to be a purposeful hack to bring your machine down. The posted instructions for fix are bogus. Do not attempt to run this program, unless you just enjoy reformatting your HD.

HxMusicConverter Developer NoteFix Bug: Mac hangs on startup after installation - Version: 1.3.1, 3/21/2008 12:01AM PST

HxMusicSoft Co, LTD.

This bug is fixed since HxMusicConverter 1.3.1. Please download the latest version.

In some Power PC Mac, after you installed the app (1.3.0 and lower), your system will crash. If you have this problem, start your mac to target mode, find the file /System/Library/Extensions/HxVirtualCD.kext and delete it. Restart and you'll be fine again.

At version 1.3.1, the virtual cd kext move to StartupItems and loaded after system startup.

one thing i learned after installing this app, always read the feedbacks first! This app crashed my G5 Leo Mac the same way as others described here.
But don't panic. It's not necessary to set up a whole new system. Just start the machine up in target mode, find the file /System/Library/Extensions/HxVirtualCD.kext and delete it. Restart and you'll be fine again. Hope this helps!
