I switched backto 1.09 and all is OK. The beta is really not what I need. Too unstable and no sidebar. I got all my feeds back with 1.09 and all is now Ok.

I have downloaded to my Desktop Demeter 1.52b and did so without any problems, whatsoever.
I repeat, it downloads smoothly with no problem.
Because I value Demeter 1.0 and use if for my Default Browser, I intend to keep the two Demeter versions downloaded; but separate.
The new Beta version has many new features that will take time to explore. Ken has done plenty of effort and work on the new version----it will be a better Demeter when it is subjected to the trails and errors of the market place.
You should try it, recognizing that it is Beta.
One problem that I have quickly noticed: in Preferences the setting for FONTS---the adnjustment for setting font sizes does not work. This same problem was on Shiira many moons ago when I trashed it away. The Font Size setting is kaput.
Thanks for the Beta version. It works on the same well-designed base as Demeter 1.0; and eventually this Beta version will be a worthy replacement.
