Product Description:

Bracketeer is a GUI front-end application for "Enfuse". Enfuse is a command-line tool used to merge different exposures of the same scene to produce an image that looks very much like a tonemapped image (without the halos) but requires no creation of an HDR image. Therefore it is much simpler to use and allows the creation of very large multiple exposure images.

Bracketeer was specifically designed for use with panorama photography, but it will work perfectly well for any standard photographs as well. You can give it up to 6 bracketed shots of any scene, and then it will Enfuse them into a final output image where you can see the details in the shadows, and the bright areas are not blown out.

Bracketeer is free to all owners of Pangea Software's PanoPreviewer tool which costs $19.95. It uses the same PanoPreviewer serial number. The utility will run in a limited demo mode without a serial number.

I would love to see some numbers next to those sliders, if possible. Otherwise, it's a Spinal Tap moment every time you play with Bracketeer.

Bracketeer is an excellent tool for creating and manipulating high dynamic range (HDR) images. For example, it will allow me to take several images of a scene using different exposure values. Using Bracketeer I can combine the images into a single HDR image with incredible detail across the entire image. Check out Pangea's web site and also see episode #9 of This Week in Photography to see what HDR images are all about. You can't beat the price.

I have used programs like Photomatix a lot in the past but I very much prefer the more natural images produced by Bracketeer. I have had great success not only using bracketed shots but also by creating a series of different exposures from the same Raw file and then combining them in Bracketeer. Almost always the default settings will produce very good results, so no need for tweaking or adjusting.

Any photographer wanting to improve the exposure and dynamic range of their photos should try this. Excellent support also.

Highly recommended
