maileR ReviewWorks just as advertised...WOW! - Version: 2.3.1, 1/21/2008 12:00AM PST

I downloaded this for the heck of it, and opened the app., and BOOM!, there was my gMail within seconds. No need to set anything up; no need to enter anything, ... I wonder how the app. "knew" that it was Google Mail that I wanted to see and not some other mail system like Yahoo! or HotMail. Unless gMail is the default, and of course, my Google cookies are already stored in Safari. I wonder if it can be used with several web-based mailers at once without having to change the preferences for each one. There seems to be room for only one at a time in the Preferences. Having more than one would be a nice development.

I do not normally read gMail from the web, because I choose to use the POPmail option to download to my e-mail client (Eudora). But, I can see that if I am on the road and in a hurry, this little app. would be a neat tool to have at the ready. Can't beat the price, either!

... over using a browser. All it does is access what can easily be bookmarked in any browser. Add to that it is unable to remember passwords and user names, it's a one trick pony that is pretty useless. Sort of like having one pair of slippers to go the kitchen and another to go to the bathroom and even THAT makes more sense.

I want a refund! :) But it is free~~~~~
