I purchased this game a few months ago and there has been at least one update. I also emailed the creator(s) of this app and they promptly responded, even though it was an unnecessary question (I could have answered it myself had I read the instructions). So the support is good and they care.

Okay, having said that, this is NOT a real full blown snooker simulation, but a game pretty well based upon snooker. For what it is, I like it. Yes I would like a little larger table, perhaps (but then again I like the smaller footprint as well for certain applications),and maybe some other changes and additions, but I do like the larger balls. I have played other snooker computer games that were more true to the real game, but this is more of a 'fun' game. IMHO. And I am sure that it will get better as time passes.

To the author: Did you ever see a snooker table? Wrong table size, wrong ball size, wrong pocket size, wrong pocket shape. Not fun at all! Btw. when i download i still get 8.0.0, and the game does not follow the snooker rules.

Snooker ReviewThis is not snooker by any means - Version: 8.0, 1/15/2008 05:51AM PST

This game is not Snooker. it is pool but using the coloured balls found on a snooker table.

Snooker is played on a much bigger table with smaller balls. It requires much more skill to play than american 8 ball pool. This is why many snooker champions also do very well in world pool championships. You rarely see (if ever) a pool champ win a snooker championship.

The potting sequence is red, then colour (the red stays down and the colour is respotted) once all the reds are potted then the colours are potted in the order yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and finally black.

The rules of snooker are here
