TimeMachineEditor Commentaryskippings of back up - Version: 2.0.3, 2/6/2009 03:00AM PST

no idea why but sometimes it takes days before TME starts a TM back up.
I am using an iMac with 10.5.6 and have instructed TME to do a back up every 12 hours.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Exactly what I wanted. Simple. Elegant. Intuitive.

Backups every 1 hour are overkill especially when I am only surfing the web. Changed increment to 3 hours. Works perfectly.

The ability to backup at any time on demand still remains.

This should be part of the Mac OS.

most of the time. Some Time Machine scheduled backups have not been completed due to some error, possibly due to usage at the time of backup. It usually happens without interruption on my Mac Pro, and it barely gets my attention since I have been using one of the built-in hard drive bays for my backup disk. Some noise was generated by TM accessing a FireWire drive previously. Those backups were also short (less than 30 seconds) after the initial complete backup. I see NO need in changing the backup schedule.
