When I am really miffed at my computer,
you know, when apps have been hanging, and the whole thing seems sluggish
and the spinning pinwheel of death makes its appearance... and just won't go away...
that's when I run HighLoad for like 5 or 10 minutes!
Then I pause it, and in a calm but firm voice I tell my computer
that if it doesn't start behaving properly, and running smoothly,
against my will, I will be forced to run HighLoad for an entire day!
(or until the machine gives out and dies.)
At that point I abruptly shut the computer off, to give it some time to reflect.
I've only had to do this twice so far,
and that was enough of an "incentive" to convince my machine
to behave nicely and to keep things in tip top running condition for me.
Computers aren't dumb. They know what's in their best interest.
But in the absence of discipline, and without a significant threat,
such as HighLoad,
they do tend to get a little testy, rebellious, a bit lazy, like most of us.
That's all.
Thank you HighLoad for improving my relationship with my computer.
It's tough love alright, but the important thing is it really works!

Very nice app for most of its features. I do suggest an alternative for the "Max CPU" feature --- which looks like it launches everything in your Applications folder. -----Just try to regain control of your machine once that gets going-----
For a controllable CPU loader, try this one:

redline until you find something wrong...more than likely doing that will cause something
to go wrong. Full loading generates: heat. Heat = enemy to machines..particularly processors,
which if you look at it, has a heatsink attached to it...for good reason...
Machines do not have the ability to think things through, wishful thinking of their
owners aside.
Think it through....don't wish it through.
