What is free and what is not? Free account allows to monitor website every 60 minutes interval. Pro account allows to monitor website or servers every 1-60 minutes, send SMS when the system goes down.

This Dashboard Widget itself may be free, but you need to get an account at the Root Internet company's website.
And this account isn't free at all.
There's a free one, but only for testing purposes.

So this is only an addition to their online monitoring service.

I think there's no right to call such a software freeware, because the software lacks of essential functionality to work without any cost for the user.
