Product Description:

The CEDICT project was started by Paul Denisowski in 1997 with the aim to provide a complete Chinese to English dictionary with pronunciation in pinyin for the Chinese characters.

MDBG CC-CEDICT ( http://www.mdbg.net/ ) is a continuation of the CEDICT project. CEDICT for Apple Dictionary based on CC-CEDICT project. Adapted to Apple Dictionary by Yuri Yuriev.

To install just unzip the file to /Library/Dictionaries.

What's new in this version:

  • Added pinyin with tone marks (Pinyin to Unicode Converter (C) 2002 Konrad Mitchell Lawson)
  • Added Mandarin voice soundset ( http://www.chinese-lessons.com/ )
  • New CC-CEDICT database (MDBG 2007-12-16)

I've tried almost every Mac Chinese/English dictionary there is, and so far like Dragon Dictionary best (and I updated its database—tips in comments at VersionTracker's DD page.

But I'm running Tiger! Developer, is there a reason this can't be made available for previous OS's? 什么理由?This is an exciting product, I hope to test it!
