One works, one doesn't - Version: 0.4.0 RC3, 10/12/2009 04:06AM PST

I really don't understand this. I have S.AB 0.4RC3 installed on a 10.5.8 Mac with Safari 4.0.3, working great, no problems getting it going. On another Mac, also 10.5.8, Safari 4.0.3, I can't get it to even appear in the Preferences. I've installed it and uninstalled it, quit Safari, relaunched, installed it with Safari not running, logged out, restarted, the whole shebang, but no sign of it anywhere. What is the trick? Because this doesn't make much sense to me.

Not to detract from the developer, but after the 10.6 OS X update, AdBlock failed to work for me. Even with the 32-bit mode enabled, deleting preferences and several attempts to reinstall the app. I could find little to no help anywhere online. Then I found Glimmerblock: http://glimmerblocker.org/
I read about how the both work and found GlimmerBlock's approach far more elegant and functional and will not be effected by Apple's application changes the way AdBlock will.
I suggest people look at both and decide for themselves which is best.
