I have found that You Tube Grabber works very well , but have been unable to get any support problems answered from the Night Owl software email.

...is to use icab 4 browser. I have been watching this project for a very long time and in fact I was not at all excited about the major upgrade released recently. But the developer has added so called filters that just need to be activated. One of these is the YouTube download filter. Works fine for me!

YouTube Video Grabber ReviewIn Safari, go to activities window - Version: 2.0, 1/18/2008 12:00AM PST

Here's a free way to save a UTube video in Safari, using iSquint.
Start a utube video,
Go to activities window and look for the file being downloaded (usually the largest one)
Click on that. It will download. Take that file to the free iSquint APP which will make it an ipod video file.

YouTube Video Grabber CommentaryDon't Pay For A One-Trick Pony - Version: 2.0, 1/18/2008 12:00AM PST

Go get yourself a copy of Visual Hub. This is an essential tool that every Mac user should own. Now, download the .flv file to your desktop by opening the activities window when loading a YouTube video, clicking on the largest file in that window, and pasting it into the Downloads window in Safari. Then, drag the downloaded file into the Visual Hub window, choose your settings, and convert. Yeah, you can do this with iSquint (also made by Techspansion) which is free, but it's another one-trick pony. Do yourself a favor, and get Visual Hub - If you were going to pay for this app, spend the extra $7-$8 and buy that one instead. You'll be glad you did.

I tried out both this one and videobox on a youtube video. They both worked fine but videobox is easier to use and is cheaper.

YouTube Video Grabber CommentarySeems to work Ok - Version: 1.0, 11/28/2007 02:42PM PST

Tried it with a few URLs and it seems to work well.
You need to make sure you install the other piece as well.
It would be worth $15 if it gave me more formats to save to.

OR, you could keep this www.youtubex.com/ in bookmarks, then open it in it's own tap. It's a website that will Download, Convert, or Share, youtube videos just by copy/paste the URL from the other tap.

OK I tried it with an open mind and it sucks big time. The convert to Quicktime movie doesn't even work.

There is another crappy app like this called "VideoBox" and it costs 8.00. The QuickTime mov converter works on it and it's automatic.

I'm staying with the FREE "DownloadHelper" add-on for FireFox that works like a dream and gives EASY a whole new meaning. Did I mention that it is FREE.

Soon as Safari gets something JUST LIKE it I will start using Safari again, HELLO APPLE, you dumb bass turds.

The FLVR for Safari costs 8.00 and has changed it's name to VideoBox, still an excellent add on for downloading video's from sties like YouTube, etc.
