This would be a great app - except the developer has chosen to not only have the app phone home (why, I have no idea), but when you alter the color of your dock, his name (or somebody's name) appears at the bottom left of the dock like a watermark. Then, when you customize the stack icons, the app adds a badge of the Palette icon to any icon you drag in. I assume the menu bar hack works, though I'm not willing to even try because the developer probably added his name to the menubar too.

Look, if you're going to make your app free and it's a great app - I WILL remember who you are and buy another app from you if you make one I want. There's really no need to stick your icons, names, etc. in my face with this app. Because you have, I will not only not use this app, but I won't use or buy any other app you make in the future either. Fix it, and I'll reconsider.
